This blog does not exist to raise spammers’ search engine rankings.

Even when comments are awaiting moderation, I believe that the search engines are picking up their URL’s.

Apologies up front to anyone who honestly posts a comment, and happens to have an unrelated website, if I think it’s spam.

If I believe someone is trying to sell something, or get someone to visit their porn site or any other site that is totally unrelated to topics posted here, I will mark their comment as spam as soon as I see it.

If I read a similarly plausible comment by someone whose site seems to indicate they have an interest in my interests, I’ll approve it, even if it’s likely to be spam.

It may get to the point where if I’m not sure, I’ll edit out the URL, because it is a daily battle to get rid of the spam comments that await moderation — like cleaning gnats off the windshield.

Real comments by real people are very welcome. Be a person who cares more about the topics, than promoting your site.
